The Thornton Transitional Reservoir is being decommissioned in the years ahead. The hydraulic model that 2IM Group, LLC developed at the Lansing Ditch Lynwood Reservoir was developed to determine the feasibility and volume that will replace the Thornton Transitional Reservoir storage.

2IM Group assisted with the preparation of a green infrastructure asset inventory through collected materials from MWRD, municipalities, and site visits.

Storage alternatives adjacent to Lansing Ditch Lynwood Tributary using unsteady HEC-RAS were modeled and work around floodway and utility constraints were performed. Model results for various basin, inlet, and outlet configurations were analyzed, compared, and then summarized in a report.
